WILL YOU LEAVE YOUR BOAT? . . . 380 Didn't!

Hello Beloved of God!  We pray that you and yours are Blessed in Jesus Name!  Thank you Covenant Partners and Friends of this Ministry that pray for us and this Mission and for Dewayne and I . . . we appreciate you so, so much!  And thank you for giving of yourself through financial means.  Thank you for supporting the Work and Ministry!  We Believe In You Too!  And we are praying and speaking The Word over you, your families and seeds every day.  I cannot express how much we truly appreciate you . . . We Love You!

1 Corinthians 15:31
"I assure you, believers, by the pride which I have in you in [your union with] Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily [I face death and
die to self]." (AMP)
Previously we began a “dig’ into something that The Word calls, “die to self.”  And as we looked into this we touched some places of this very crucial thing that The LORD is asking of us to do.  The LORD wants us to make this most important decision in our lives, Beloved.  The process is called "daily . . . die to self."  So, how does one do this process?  Well, the first step is to do first things first.  I have to put what God SAYS about things BEFORE what I WANT and what I THINK about things in Life.  What The LORD says about the matter is what I ADJUST my Life to.  It does not matter what anyone thinks or what the Culture around me screams and displays, what God has said in His Word comes before EVERYTHING.  And when you and I WILL ADJUST OURSELVES and LIVES TO THE WORD OF GOD, then this is the first step of “dying to SELF.”  For, when we do what we want and not what God wants and says to do, then we are not making Him “LORD,” or The Boss of us and our lives.  MANY PEOPLE SAY that Jesus is their LORD.  Yet, The Bible tells us something THAT IS vital!
"So why do you keep calling me 'LORD, LORD!" when you DON'T DO WHAT I SAY? . . ." LUKE 6:46 (NLT)

In Luke 6:46, Jesus is speaking here and this tells us something that is so important!  And that is that people will call Jesus their, “LORD” and yet their lives will reflect that He is not their LORD!  Jesus says Himself that if you and I are not doing what He says, then He is NOT OUR LORD!  And as stated before, OBEDIENCE IS REQUIRED WHEN HE IS YOUR LORD!  Obedience to what you may ask?  Obedience to what The Bible, The Word of God tells us to do!  So, first we must be in The Word of God and next we must do what He says to do . . . IF He is our LORD.  Again, we went over this second point that we must cover again to build a foundation for this Teaching and that is what Matthew 7:21-23 tells us about this Title and Position in our lives called, “LORD.”
"Not everyone who says to Me, LORD, LORD, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? 23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]." Matthew 7:21-23 (AMPC)
Soberly look at this!  Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:21-23 that there are going to be people who thought because they called Jesus their “LORD” and did (some great things) in His Name will consider themselves “OK” with Jesus and be able to enter Heaven.  But, that is NOT what Jesus is telling us here!  Jesus says that there will be some that will have done and seen manifestations of the Power of Jesus’ Name in their lives while they were in the Earth, BUT THEY LIVED THEIR LIVES “DISREGARDING MY COMMANDS”.  WOW!  Prophesying in Jesus' Name, casting out demons in His Name and doing mighty works in Jesus' Name and not entering Heaven?  How could that be?  Jesus’ Name and The Power in it will do the work for us, Beloved.  Yet, this must be addressed!  Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, LORD, LORD, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. . . . 23 And then I will say to them openly [publicly], I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]."  In the New Living Translation (NLT) it says in Matthew 7 verse 23,
"But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God's laws."
Plainly it is shown here to us, that doing The Will of Father God and obeying The Word of God is tied to Jesus being your LORD or not being your Lord.  You and I must not “make up” or go on someone else’s feelings or thoughts on subjects in our lives.  If Jesus is our LORD, then we must read The Word of God to see what God says about things and obey His Commands which is The Word of God.  This may seem like a very simple message, but Dewayne and I see people daily that profess to be Believers in Jesus Christ, but live like the World and against God’s Word and what He says.  There is truly a Culture that has formed (in The Church) that whatever one believes is Okay with God . . . is justified and acceptable.  Whatever one thinks and does is all right and tolerable, no matter what God and The Bible say about it!  Yet, this is exactly what Jesus is warning The Church about.  Jesus says, “. . . why do you keep calling me ‘LORD, LORD!’ when you don’t do what I say?”
When someone is doing what 1 Corinthians 15:31 says and that is, “I assure you, believers, by the pride which I have in you in [your union with] Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily [I face death and die to self]!" they are not leading their lives the way that THEY want to.  No, they are dying to SELF and following God and His Word.  And what would you call that?  It's not only "saying" that Jesus is your LORD, but following what He says in The Word, therefore He truly IS YOUR LORD!  Hallelujah!

In The Last Days . . . Lovers

2 Timothy 3:1-2 (AMPC) "But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, . . ."

Let’s look at this somber verse Church.  Paul is writing to his “dear son” Timothy.  Paul was Timothy’s Father In The Lord.  And God spoke through the Apostle Paul to Pastor Timothy and to us today (for we are truly living in The Last Days) that days would come that The Bible describes as being ones that are perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]."  This definition comes from the root word chalepos which is Strong’s Number 5467.  Chalepos also means hard, harsh, fierce, grievous and troublesome.  And in the modern Amplified Translation 2 Timothy 3:1 reads,
2 Timothy 3:1 (AMP) "But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]."

Why will it be SO DIFFICULT, STRESSFUL, PERILOUS, HARD TO DEAL WITH, TROUBLESOME, HARD TO BEAR and HURTFUL?  Because people will love themselves more than what is RIGHT and GOOD and WHOLESOME.  People will love themselves more than they love THEIR FAMILY, THEIR WIVES, HUSBANDS, CHILDREN, FRIENDS and THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES.  People, Lovers of Selves, will love themselves more than what people possess and will DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SOMEONE TO GET WHAT THEY WANT and HAVE WHAT THEY WANT TO HAVE.

Friends, really read this!  Their SELVES will be what will matter to them.  What and who they want and it will bring great hardship to others for, these LOVERS OF SELF will sacrifice anyone to get what they want!  It will not matter if they are married.  It will not matter how they hurt their spouses or children.  It will not matter what lies they have to tell, things they must steal, harm they must do . . . IF IT GETS WHAT THEY WANT and GRATIFIES THEMSELVES, THEN THAT IS WHAT WILL MATTER TO THEM!  Many WILL BE HURT!  Many WILL BE STRESSED and FIND IT HARD TO BEAR that their loved ones and ones they trusted would BETRAY, LIE, DECEIVE, STEAL, HARM or EVEN DO DANGER TO THEM . . . ALL FOR THEMSELVES AND THE LOVE OF THEMSELVES OVER EVERY ONE AND EVERYTHING!  And remember Beloved, this is The Holy Spirit speaking through Paul to us and Timothy . . . so this message is for THE CHURCH, NOT THE WORLD!
We must get SELF out of us and off our minds!  God, His Word, His Ways and His Will needs to come FIRST in our lives.  We adjust our lives to WHAT HE SAYS, not to what we think.  The atmosphere in The Last Days will be PRIMED and SET for many to fall into these days of SELF.  To where SELF is the CENTER OF EVERYTHING in people’s lives in The Last Days.  Beloved, guard your hearts and keep God’s Word in your eyes, on your minds, speaking The Word out of your mouths and obeying The Lord and His Word.  Be quick to repent.  Renew your minds to The Word.  Be diligent in reading and obeying The King and His Word.  Live a life that is GOD CENTERED not SELF CENTERED in Jesus Name!

What Happened To The 500?

This Is Significant!

“After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” Acts 1:3 (NIV)

There are certain Prophetic Times that The Body of Christ should be fully aware of.  RIGHT NOW you are in the midst of a very significant Time!  You and I are in the Time between The Feast of Passover and The Feast of Pentecost.  Why that is so very important is that during this Time is when decisions are required.

After Jesus suffered and died for us in Jerusalem at The Feast of Passover, He appeared several times to His Disciples showing Himself raised from the dead and alive.  The Bible records that He appeared to them in the period of 40 days.  Jesus then ascended into a cloud and left Earth and went to be with Father.  Then we are told in The Word that the Disciples went back to Jerusalem as Jesus directed them.  He told them to go and wait for The Gift of The Baptism of The Holy Spirit.

“Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, a distance of half a mile.13 When they arrived, they went to the upstairs room of the house where they were staying. Here are the names of those who were present: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (the zealot), and Judas (son of James). 14 They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus. 15 During this time, when about 120 believers were together in one place, Peter stood up and addressed them.”
Acts 1:12-15 (NLT)

Now why is this special time between Passover and Pentecost a time that is noted to be a Time when decisions are required?  Because Jesus had appeared to more than 500 DISCIPLES at one time after He was raised from the dead, why were there only 120 in the one place that Jesus told them to go and wait at?

"I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scripture said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. 5 He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. 6 After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time . . ."  1 Corinthians 15:3-6 (NLT)

THESE ARE THE DAYS THAT WE ARE IN RIGHT NOW!  The Disciples of Jesus had left EVERYTHING in their lives.  They left their families, jobs, businesses, trades, homes, beds and all comforts that they knew.  When it looked like all that they had invested in and put all their hope in was done at The Feast of Passover when Jesus died, they scattered (Mark 14:50).  And yet, they had The Master come and visit them within those 40 days that He had raised from the dead.  Whom they had believed was TRUE!
The TIME between Passover and Pentecost was HUGE for them.  They had to make a final decision to SURRENDER TO what Father had put in their lives and the new lives ahead of them in the Ministry and the work they were now to do.  Or go back to what was comfortable, what they were safe in and what, I’m sure, their family and those around them wanted them to go back to doing.  Go back to their fishing businesses and just lead normal lives like it was before Jesus came into their lives.  Remember, some were married and had families. (Peter’s mother in law was healed by Jesus.)  They had to make a life altering decision to continue on in the Mission and Word that they had seen and heard first hand WITH Jesus STILL WITH THEM.  Now, their Teacher was no longer there in the natural to lean on and be The One Who would make everything work out for everyone’s good by the Goodness of Father God.  These Disciples had to face whether they would go back to being in the normal Jewish ways or go and do and lead on The Ways of Jesus Christ, without Jesus being with them to do it all for them.
The DECISION WAS HUGE!  The days between Passover and Pentecost were the days and The TIME when decisions had to be made and stood upon.  DECISIONS TO DIE TO SELF WERE BEING MADE WITH EACH PERSON.  Each man and woman Disciple of Jesus would have to make the decision to either go all the way with the Work that Jesus started and showed them and The Word that He told and taught them . . . or simply NOT.  Would these Fishermen go back to their boats and fish for FISH or fish for MEN as the calling was on their lives to do? (Matthew 4:19)  After Jesus died, Peter and some of the Disciples went back to their boats and fished didn’t they?  Several of the disciples were there—Simon Peter, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples. 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” “We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night.” John 21:2-3 (NLT)
We all have a “boat” of comfort.  We have a “place” and in this situation a “boat” that is SO EASY for us to go back to and NOT DO THE HARD THINGS.  Our “boat” may be a job that we’ve done for years and it’s just really comfortable there and we wouldn’t want to leave it as The Lord is directing because you are familiar with it.  Your “boat” may be a house or town or community that you’ve lived at for years and leaving it seems enormous to you, although you know that God is leading you to other places and assignments and Missions on your life.  Your “boat” of comfort may be your friends or family that you’ve always lived near.  Your “boat” may be a Church that God is telling you to leave that you’ve been at for years and it’s time to go to another.  I know, I really understand.  Yet, just like these men that went back to their “boat” that day, they had to make a decision to GO WITH GOD and GET OUT OF THEIR BOAT AND GO TO AND FOLLOW JESUS!  And it all happened between Passover and Pentecost!  Just like NOW!  Just like YOU and I.
500 DISCIPLES HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS, THE MESSIAH AFTER HE RAISED FROM THE DEAD!  The Bible calls them "Disciples" so they spent A LOT OF TIME WITH JESUS!  380 of Jesus' Disciples decided between Passover and Pentecost TO LEAVE THEIR CALLING.  Leave their destiny.  380 decided to NOT DO THE PLAN OF GOD ON THEIR LIVES!

380 Decided To NOT “Die to SELF!”

120 Decided to GO ALL THE WAY WITH JESUS and Their Destiny!

You have an amazing opportunity to choose to give up EVERYTHING for Jesus and the Mission He has on your life!  Right now in this TIME between Passover and Pentecost, you are presented with the same decision and opportunity that the first Disciples had.  Will you TOTALLY SURRENDER to the Calling of Jesus?  Will you be in the Ranks of the 120 who obeyed or in the 380 that never showed up?  The wonderful thing about giving your All for Him, is that if you lose your life, you actually gain it!

It’s TIME!

If you are away from God and not living for Him, Repent and give Him your life!  Don’t keep waiting!  Just pray out loud and mean it with all your heart and say, LORD, I know that I have sinned and been living wrong, please forgive me!  Come into my life and save me and do something with my life!  Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit!  Jesus, I make You The LORD of my life, in Jesus Name!
IF YOU NEED TO TOTALLY SURRENDER YOUR ALL TO HIM . . . . IT'S TIME!  Just tell Him, Lord, I love You.  I know that I have been holding back on my relationship, my time, talents and my all from You.  I don’t want to be like the 380 that knew You, but never committed wholeheartedly to You!   I SURRENDER MY LIFE TO YOU!  You surrendered Your All and now I’m doing the same!  No matter what You ask of me, my answer is YES!  I TRUST YOU Lord Jesus!  You ARE MY LORD . . . AND I COMMIT TO DO WHAT YOU SAY!  I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART.  I SURRENDER MY ALL TO YOU AND YOU CAN COUNT ON ME, in Jesus Name!  It’s TIME for us all to leave our “boats” of comfort and DO WHAT THE LORD IS TELLING US TO DO!  We are the Generation of The Last Days . . . HE IS COUNTING ON US!  LET’S GET THIS DONE IN JESUS NAME!  Let us know if you have surrendered your life to God!  We Love You Very Much Church!

A Reminder Of An Opportunity

From The Lord

As many of you know, The Lord has instructed Dewayne and I to be a part of a Mission of building two Campuses, “Mahanaim” for Him.  The Campuses will have many forms of Ministry, Discipleship, Training, Services from within and Services going out.  On the Campuses will also be a Church on each one.  The Churches are called The Word of Life.  We would like to extend to you an invitation.

An invitation to pray and seek The Lord if you are to be a part of this Mission.

There are many areas to be utilized in.  Of course, praying and interceding, covering us and the Mission in prayer is vital.  There are also areas of Building, Construction, Ministering, Praise and Worship, Music, Serving, Membership/Serving in the Local Church Body, Discipleship, Media, TV Ministry, Funding and Giving and so many more!

We ask you to seriously ask The Lord if you are called to this Mission.  Seek Him about this opportunity and see what He would have you to do.  This is His Project and we want to have it His Way, His Timing with His People that He chooses.  With all the decisions and discussions we have you will hear Dewayne and I saying, “It’s His Decision.”

We wanted to remind you again about this wonderful opportunity and to remind you to pray and seek The Master!  WE ARE ALSO PRAYING FOR YOU AND BLESS YOU AS YOU SEEK HIM TO SEE IF YOUR HEART AND YOUR DESTINY ARE TIED TO THIS NEW AND ADDITIONAL MISSION!  We Love You! – Dewayne and Jamie
