The LEAVING Factor

Hello Covenant Partners and Friends!  Though I want to get right to The Word that the Lord has for us all, I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that we love you so very much!  When Dewayne and I and others here at The Ministry think of you and pray for you, it brings GREAT JOY TO US!  YOU, BRING US GREAT JOY!  You are VERY SPECIAL to us and we are grateful to you and all that you do and who you are to us!  You are Family!  You are our Family!  We Just Love You!  We are praying and professing over you, always!

What a very special Time we are privileged to live in!  Yes, I wrote privileged.  These Days are the ones that the Prophets and even the First Disciples of Jesus were told about by Him, personally (Matthew 24) and some of them prophesied about later.  It's NO SMALL THING TO BE LIVING IN THIS TIME IN HISTORY!  It REALLY IS a Big Deal!  And with us living in this privileged Time of History, comes THE NEED to know for sure what to do, where to go, when to leave, when to stay, what to say and how to handle the life, opportunities and commands of The Lord.  Do you really realize that you and I are not supposed to be doing this life by doing whatever we want?  We are to be doing what we are asked of to do by our Commander and Chief, Who Is Jesus.  Totally doing what He says.  Whatever He, THE WORD, says to you to do.  If He says in a logos Word, which is The Bible or a rhema Word, which is a right now Word from The Master, however He speaks and whatever He speaks, just do it.

When we begin to allow ourselves to "reason" or try to "understand" or "figure out" things when The Lord has told us to do something, well, that's when "THE PATHS" begins to not be clear to us.  If you and I are making decisions with our senses instead of by The Holy Spirit, we can find ourselves living like everyone else in a "natural" way. God never intended for us to live just a "natural" life, He has designed for us a life that is an ADVENTURE that is especially designed and mapped out by Him.

"In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself . . . 14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us;" John 1:1,14 (AMPC)

The Word of God, Who Is Jesus, is The One Who will Navigate us through these Days that we are living in, IF we will allow Him to do so.  When I think of these Times that we are living in,

I picture a girl who is walking forward.  She stops walking as many VOICES begin to blow by her like wind.  She closes her natural eyes and stands still.  Though her natural eyes are closed, she is seeing where to go through The Holy Spirit living inside of her Who tells her what Jesus, Who Is The Word of God, wants her to do.  She does not need her natural eyes for The Holy Spirit is telling her everything she needs to know!  The Holy Spirit tells her to move forward and what direction to take or not take.  She has her hands over her natural ears, for she is following The Voice of Holy Spirit Who tells her when to walk or when not to walk, where to walk or where not to walk, how many steps to take or to stand still for a moment, which direction to turn to and which direction to not turn.  She is totally moving on what she “sees” and “hears” FROM THE INSIDE OF HER!  SHE IS NOT "MOVED" BY WHAT THE "PERSUASIONS" TELL HER TO DO ON THE OUTSIDE. SHE IS MOVED ONLY BY THE WORD OF GOD, WHO IS JESUS!

And when you and I learn to JUST DO WHATEVER THE LORD SAYS IN HIS WORD and live our lives by what we SEE and HEAR . . . INSIDE OF US and not by what makes sense it will lead us on wonderful  "paths" that have already been predestined and preplanned for us!

Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC) “For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [TAKING PATHS which He prepared ahead of time], that we SHOULD WALK in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

These "PATHS" have been Pre - designed, Pre - destined, Pre - pared and Pre- arranged by Jesus, Himself!  WOW!  Who wouldn't want all of this DIRECTION and  prepared and mapped out Places, Things and Future by God?  Unfortunately, the answer to that question is MANY!  So many people have made their lives THEIR OWN and are not walking on the "PATHS" that have been already prepared for them.  Many are comfortable and content on doing what they want and making all their own decisions and doing Life by their own reasoning, thoughts and ideas.  Using their senses and what everyone else is doing around them to make their decisions and to dictate to them what to do, where to be and how long to stay where they are.

One thing I have greatly learned is that "PATHS" WERE MADE TO WALK ON.  They are for MOTION and to GET YOU FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER.  "PATHS" are not for just standing on.  They are to keep you on a "PATH" to keep you on a specific direction on a journey that will aid you in not getting off in some place that you are not to be located in.  "PATHS" are FOR YOU and FOR YOUR JOURNEY!  Staying on the "PATHS" that God has for you will also protect you from harm, for they are the EXACT PLACES that you are to be in and at the EXACT TIME.  And, "PATHS" TAKE YOU FROM PLACES . . . AND BRING YOU TO PLACES!  God's "PATHS" are awesome!  And how to follow the "PATHS" of God is by His Spirit directing you through His Word, either a logos  Word, which is The Bible or a rhema Word, which is a right now Word from The Master.  God's WORD IS TIED TO THE  "PATHS" OF GOD FOR YOU, BELOVED!  His Word IS THE ONLY WAY to the "PATHS."  The Word of God "shows you" which "PATH" is from Him and His Word keeps "a light" on the "PATH" of God for you, so that you can clearly see that the "PATH" you are on is one from Him and that you are going the RIGHT WAY on the "PATH."

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Psalm 119:105 (AMPC)

"Obedience Is Far Better Than Sacrifice"

“Has the Lord as much pleasure in your burnt offerings and sacrifices as in your obedience? Obedience is far better than sacrifice. He is much more interested in your listening to him than in your offering the fat of rams to him."  1 Samuel 15:22 (TLB)

We have now arrived at the Time of Pentecost on God's Calendar.  I have for the last few years and especially now in my life looked at Jesus’ Life and really looked at some of the things that He went through and how it was for Him.  We have to remember that Jesus laid down His Glory when He walked the Earth. (Philippians 2:6-8)  He obeyed Father.  He chose to obey Father.  He ONLY did what Father told Him to do and ONLY said what Father told Him to say and that's what Jesus chose to do.

"So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn]." John 5:19 (AMPC)

"This is because I have never spoken on My own authority or of My own accord or as self-appointed, but the Father Who sent Me has Himself given Me orders [concerning] what to say and what to tell. 50  And I know that His commandment is (means) eternal life. So whatever I speak, I am saying [exactly] what My Father has told Me to say and in accordance with His instructions." John 12:49-50 (AMPC)

During the Time of Passover and on to Pentecost, The Bible tells us some things that when I think about them through Jesus' eyes, it makes me see things differently.  We know that Jesus was alone, except for Father, much of the time that He went through Passover. Yet, throughout Jesus’ Ministry people would come into His Ministry and some would stay.  Some people would stay a while, then leave.  Some would actually "sign up" for Discipleship and be committed to the Mission only to stay connected and committed for a while then leave.

Which brings us to this Time right now as we go into The Pentecost Season.  The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 (NLT), "I passed on to you what was most important and what  had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. 5 He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. 6 After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time . . .”  WOW!  The Word, Who Is Jesus leaves an account that He, Himself appeared to "500 of His followers" AFTER HE HAD RAISED FROM THE DEAD!  We tend to think that it was just those twelve Disciples or the ones that The Bible talks of that was always known for being around Him.  Yet, we see here that He appeared to 500 OF HIS FOLLOWERS!  These "followers" or Disciples were those ones that would have heard The Master teaching with all His Heart!  Messages literally from Heaven!  Messages from Father God because Jesus only spoke what Father told Him to say.  They would have seen miracles, signs and awesome things from Heaven and literally sat under the Ministry and Leadership and Love of Jesus, Himself!  Again, WOW!

And these were just some of the things that these 500 followers would have experienced BEFORE JESUS DIED!  These Disciples of Jesus were followers BEFORE Jesus died and yet, 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 is giving us an account that these 500 Disciples seen Jesus AFTER HE DIED ON THE CROSS AND RAISED FROM THE DEAD!  They all seen Jesus AFTER HIS RESURRECTION in the Time Span that He was appearing to people and teaching them AFTER He raised from the dead and was literally appearing to people AFTER He was alive again!  And even with something as EXRAORDINARY as seeing Jesus resurrected from the dead and alive, even that did not make them stay with the Mission He would have taught them about.  And the Mission of The Kingdom that they would have "signed up" for.

The Bible calls these eye witnesses "followers" of Jesus.  Yet, in the time between Passover and Pentecost these Disciples or "Followers" DID NOT GO ALL THE WAY IN THEIR MISSION WITH JESUS.  Because we see that only 120 Disciples were in the Upper Room when The Baptism of The Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost!  380 of His "Followers" were not even there!  They had seen Him appear to them after His death and resurrection and yet they did not hang in there with Him and the Mission.  They decided to not do obedience completely!  To do ALL THE WAY . . . NO MATTER WHAT HE ASKS OF YOU TO DO!  He had a relationship with them BEFORE He went to the Cross and they with Him.  He loved them.  THEY WERE IN MINISTRY TOGETHER!  HE CAME TO THEM AFTER THE RESURRECTION!  Yet, they didn't go where He asked for His Disciples to be.  They were not accounted for that day of Pentecost in the Upper Room.  Many were not there . . . 380 "Followers" were not there.  They were at one time on the "PATH" that The Word, Jesus had them on and they would have sacrificed things in their lives to had been following Jesus, but at some point, they let other things, other thoughts, other persuasions get them off the "PATH" they were on.  Their obedience was requiring them to GO ON . . . GO FORWARD . . . GO TO JERUSALEM . . . AND STAY THERE UNTIL THE NEXT COMMAND.  But they did not show.  And it is documented in The Word of God about them and what we know is that they were "Followers" and then they are accounted within 380 that were not on their "PATHS" Pre-destined for them.  Yet, there were 120 that obeyed The Word given them and kept going FORWARD on their own individual Pre-pared "PATHS" from The Master, Himself.

EVERYONE in The Body of Christ has and will always be given A CHOICE.  Everyone can choose to follow what Jesus tells them to do or not.  People give their lives to God and receive their salvation from Him, which is AWESOME!  Then, when it comes to following what He tells you to do after that, some decide that they will just do what "makes sense" to them.  Some live their lives for The Kingdom "on their own decisions."  How are you living your life?  Are you "TAKING THE PATHS" that have been prepared, predestined and preplanned for you or are you taking the paths that YOU have prepared, chose, planned and decided to take.  This is what The Lord wants you to be asked and He wants you to ask yourself.  Then, ask HIM if you are on His Paths OR your own path.
